Hello Community College Instructors and Counselors,
The California Teacher Preparation Pipeline (TPP) – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) / CTE (Career and Technical Education) statewide grant directors would like to cordially invite you to an exciting professional development activity planned for Friday, October 16, from 8am-2pm at Cerritos College.
The activity is entitled Teacher Preparation: Today and Tomorrow and will have two strands: Educating for the Twenty-first Century and Educational Leadership.
Presenters and break-out sessions will focus on: Common Core Overview, Integrating Next Generation Science Standards and Technology (Earth Science and Chemistry), Game-Based Theory in the Classroom for Teachers, Credentialing, and Mentoring and Community-Building in the Classroom. Participation will be free of charge; breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees.
