Student Attitudes Toward Technology-Mediated Advising Systems

This study discusses findings from a series of focus groups with community college students around their attitudes toward technology-mediated advising. Its key takeaway highlights that while students found technology-mediated advising appropriate for some tasks such as course registration, they also showed a preference for in-person support for other, more complex tasks such as refining their academic and career goals.
